Mobile phone or cell phone is a market standardize product. It is used for communicate with others. In the past time, it only had one function ,phone to other, but now it is not only one function in each mobile. In the modern society, the mobile phone is not only for communication anymore. It becomes a commodity in Hong Kong. Almost every Hong Kong citizen can own it. The teens will have it and the oldest will have it too. It is very convenient to contact others,but the mobile phone is also promoting a consuming culture.

In the past time, having a mobile phone is a hardly thing because of the price. It is only for the wealthy people. A common citizen cannot own it also because of the prise. Also, the size of the mobile phone is big and it is heavy. However, owning a mobile phone is a symbol of the status.

Since the populating of the technology of the mobile phone, it grows to be our assistant things. Everyone can handle it's price or even own it. There are many manufacturers of producing mobile phones such as LG,Nokia,Sony Ericssion... However,there are hegemony of the capitalist of the mobile phone manufacturers dominates the mobile phone market. They have lots of money to sell their products to reinforce their power position in the mobile phone market. As a result, they lead the market.

As the famous manufacturers always detrude the new model of mobile phones, they've already went in front of the mobile phone market. They also promote their mobile phone have some function that other company don't have. In the past, the phone is not universal and it is expensive so people'll treasure it very much. When the mobile phone is broken or out of order, people will change it otherwise will not buy another one. However, we change our mobile phone because of the new models nowadays.For example some people will think that,'if I change my mobile to the latest one,it'll shows me that I'm a update people.'As this notion,people will change their mobile incessantly.Although consuming lead to a economic growth, we are wasting a lot which can still use.

Actually,I think always the new mobile phone is not really we need, we are just need update. It is not necessary to change our mobile when it is still work.Also we should consider more about what we really need.

Mobile phones 'More DANGEROUS than smoking'!

A reseach demonstrate that mobile phones could kill far more people than smoking or asbestos, a study by an award-winning cancer expert has concluded. He says people should avoid using them wherever possible and that governments and the mobile phone industry must take "immediate steps" to reduce exposure to their radiation.

As the HK's economy has been growing and there are many new mobile phone that will detrude incessantly, many Hongkongers become richer and will change their mobile phone incessantly.That is really bad.It is because it will affect the ecological environment.As the mobile phone's components contains some harmful,chemical substances such as the radiations...and thats will affect the ecological environment.Do you think Hongkongers change their mobile phone incessantly is a bad or good thing?Why?Can you explain your your answer?
